Channel NewsAsia (abbreviated CNA) is an English language pan-Asian news network based in Singapore and owned by MediaCorp. Started on 1 March 1999 based in Singapore by Television Corporation of Singapore, it was launched internationally on 12 February 2001 as the international broadcasting arm of Channel NewsAsia.
It is now viewed in 24 territories across Asia. The satellite footprint of the channel stretches across the Middle East, much of Asia, and Australia. It is a major Asian news broadcaster with programmes telecast to more than 10 Asian countries and territories.
On 1 January 2005, Channel NewsAsia revamped the look of both feeds to a more contemporary feel. New hard studios were designed, replacing the virtual studios used in the past.
